Just like the name suggests, this mattress is free from dangerous outgassing, flame retardant chemicals, and polyurethane foam. What it does have is natural and organic materials like GOTS certified organic cotton, natural Joma wool, organic cotton canvas, and natural Talalay latex. The base support in this mattress is an individually-wrapped 6 inch pocket coil unit that provides stability and support. On top of the coils are two, 2 inch layers of natural Talalay latex. Each of these layers can be customized as soft, medium or firm to allow for customizable pressure point relief and added luxury. These quality materials work together to provide a healthy, comfortable, free-from-worry sleeping option.

The mattress cover is made from a GOTS certified knit cotton quilted to two layers of natural Joma wool on the top, and organic cotton canvas quilted to one layer of Joma wool on the bottom. The cover can zip off so you can see exactly what is inside of the mattress.

– On the bottom are 6″ tall individually wrapped metal coils with a coil count of 660. The coils are individually wrapped in a non-woven polypropylene (the same material that is used to make yogurt cups), then covered in an organic cotton canvas.
Individually Wrapped Pocket Coils
-On top is two 2″ layers of natural talalay latex encased in a GOTS certified organic cotton tricot fabric. The top layer is available as extra-soft, soft, or firm. The second layer is available as soft or firm. You can either choose the same firmness level for both sides, or you can choose different firmness levels for each side of the mattress (for Queen and King size mattresses). For a mattress with an overall “soft” feel, choose two extra-soft layers. For a mattress with an overall “medium” feel, choose two soft layers. For a mattress with an overall “firm” feel, choose two firm layers.

Assembly
The Freefrom Pocket Coil mattress is shipped via UPS with the latex in a separate box from the coils. To assemble, first you will lay out the coils which are already placed in the bottom portion of the mattress cover. You will then place the layers of latex on top of the coils and zip the top cover on!
Comfort Guarantee
If the comfort level you choose is not exactly right, you can later purchase a new 2″ latex layer in a different firmness level. For example, if you choose “firm” for your top 2″ layer, and after sleeping on the mattress for a while, you realize it is a bit too firm, you can purchase a new 2″ core in firmness level “soft” or “extra-soft”. This is not an exchange, so you get to keep both the new latex and the original latex in case you should ever need to switch it again. Comfort guarantees must take place within 3 months from purchase date.
