If you would like your firmness level split between sides, please choose, for example “Soft/Medium” for soft on one side and medium on the other. The Freefrom can be customized for your body by choosing Soft, Medium, or Firm GOLS Certified Organic Dunlop or natural Talalay latex with Medium or Firm pocketed-coil springs.

Here Soft Latex and Medium springs creates a plush but supportive feel. This may be ideal for adults seeking a supportive mattress that “gives.”

If you’re a stomach sleeper or a back sleeper who enjoys a firm mattress, consider combining either a Medium or Firm layer of latex with Firm pocketed coils.

If you like a very supportive mattress with a little bit of softness on top, soft latex on firm coils is a popular option.

What’s inside a Freefrom mattress?

Freefrom, is free from dangerous outgassing, flame retardant chemicals, and polyurethane foam. Freefrom offers natural mattresses that are safe for your home and our planet. Here’s a closer look at the materials inside our Freefrom Pocket Coil Organic mattress.

GOLS Certified Organic Latex or Certified Natural Talalay Latex

True natural latex, without synthetic latex or fillers blended in, is simply natural foam rubber.

Freefrom’s Dunlop latex is certified organic in two ways. The rubber tree plantations are certified organic according to USDA standards, and its processing is certified organic to the Global Organic Latex Standard (GOLS).

The latex for our Natural Talalay latex is sourced from rubber tree plantations that adhere to sustainable forestry practices. Our natural Talalay latex has been certified as Cradle to Cradle GOLD!

Certified organic wool

You’ll never find chemical flame retardants in Freefrom organic mattresses! Instead GOTS-certified organic wool batting is used as a natural flame barrier. Wool also regulates temperature by promoting airflow, so it will not cause you to feel overheated at night.

Certified organic cotton

Freefrom stays away from cotton treated with pesticides since they are harmful to our bodies and our planet. The mattress casings are made of unbleached, GOTS-certified organic cotton.

Individually-encased (“pocketed”) springs

Made out of recycled steel, the coils in our Freefrom mattress contour to your body’s curves and offer responsive support with a touch of gentle bounce. These cushioning springs are excellent at pressure point relief and are also incredibly breathable, giving you cool comfort you’ll love.

Coils are available in both Medium and Firm densities.

What do you place a Freefrom mattress on?

The Freefrom works well with a Savvy Rest platform bed insert or a platform bed. If the support you choose has slat spacing greater than 2″ you need to supplement it with a Savvy Rest Bed Rug or TFS Honest Sleep Bed Rug to keep the warranty in tact. Bed Rugs are a 1″ thick mat that is made by dipping coconut fiber in organic latex, which provides support for the coils in this mattress so that the coils do not press in between the slats on a platform bed.
