This barrier fabric is designed to block dust mite excretion, animal dander, and all sorts of household dust. These zip-on barrier covers are made from 100% GOTS certified organic cotton barrier fabric.  It is a very tightly woven organic cotton. Dust mites measure from 100 to 300 microns and their feces can be as small as 10 microns which can fall through many fabrics. The organic cotton fabric used for these barrier covers has been lab tested and has an average pore size of 4.5 microns.
