Organic GOTS certified cotton batting is quilted in between a top layer of GOTS certified organic cotton fabric and a bottom layer of GOTS approved non-woven fabric.  In addition to being GOTS certified, the organic cotton used by Harvest Green is also OEKO-TEX certified to have no harmful substances such as  allergenic dyes, pesticides, chlorinated phenols, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and chloro-organic carriers.

The top 2″ layer of the GOLS certified soft organic latex has an ILD of 14-19 and a deflection rating of D65 and is also eco-INSTITUT certified.

The pocket coil spring system is made by Leggett and Platt.  It has comfortable body support in the center and stronger edge support to eliminate the feeling of “roll-off” towards the sides. The springs are made from 17 gauge steel coils in the center and 16 gauge steel coils (thicker) for excellent edge support. The recycled steel coils are wrapped in a food grade polypropylene fabric which is non-woven and non-toxic.  The coils float individually which helps with proper spinal alignment and promotes good airflow for cooler sleep.

In a vegan mattress, since it does not have wool to serve as a flame retardant, hydrated silica is added.  It is a great fire barrier that allows this mattress to pass the federally mandated fire tests. Hydrated silica has no known toxicity or carcinogenicity and has a solid background of safe use and is recognized by the FDA to be Generally Recognized as Safe (GRAS). This form of silicon dioxide can even be found in most everyday toothpaste.

All of these materials are hand tufted.  Hand tufting keeps all the materials in place and keeps them from shifting or bunching. On the sides of the mattress are classic handles to help move or flip your new mattress!

100 Night Trial Period

Your 100 night trial period begins on the date that your mattress is delivered. It often takes a few weeks for one’s body to adjust to a new sleeping surface, so we ask that you try it for at least 30 days. Between 30 and 100 days, you are welcome to return the mattress to us for a full refund.  The mattress must be in “like-new” condition with no stains, tears, odors or soiling.  We never resell any returned mattresses, all mattresses returned to us will be either donated or recycled.
